How to Download an Attendance Report in Teams (Who Joined and for How Long)

Running training, a webinar or a meeting that people are supposed to attend? Teams keeps a register for you. You can peek at it during the meeting and download the full report afterwards.

Reports usually appear within a few minutes of the meeting ending. For recurring meetings, each occurrence has its own report.
What's in the report
• Name and email address of each attendee
• When they joined and when they left
• How long they were in the meeting
• Their role (organiser, presenter, attendee)
• For webinars, registration details too

If someone leaves and rejoins, each visit is listed.
Who can see it
The organiser and co-organisers can see and download the report. Ordinary attendees can't. For channel meetings, team owners can see it too.
Turn attendance reports on or off
Open the meeting from the calendar, click Meeting options, and switch Attendance report on or off. If it's off, the Attendance tab won't appear at all.
Troubleshooting
There's no Attendance tab. Either reports were switched off in the meeting options, your organisation has disabled them, or you weren't the organiser. Check with whoever set up the meeting.
The report is missing people. Dial-in callers appear by phone number. People who joined from a meeting room device show as the room. Anyone who only sat in the lobby isn't counted.
The CSV opens in one column. In Excel, go to Data > Text to Columns and split on commas, or open it with File > Open and choose the delimited option.
Wrapping up
During the meeting, People > ⋯ > Download attendance list. Afterwards, open the meeting chat and click Attendance (or Recap) and Download. Make sure Attendance report is on in the meeting options before the session starts.
