2FA in your browser

Untitled

2FA or Two Factor Authentication is based on the principle of something you know and something you have. Typically, this is a phone that supports text messages but more often it involves an app that generates 6 digit codes automatically. Apps like these run on your smartphone, but you can get them for your web browser.

Authenticator.cc

Authenticator.cc is a browser extension (it extends the features of your web browser to do more than the browser can normally do) and it is free.

There is a version for Firefox, Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

You can import and export these codes locally and to cloud storage of your choice, and you can secure them with a password.

Additionally, authenticator.cc supports both Time based One Time Passcodes (TOTP) and Host based One Time Passcodes (HOTP)
