Buying computers online

csr2

I advise people as to what computers to buy online when they are replacing their old computers. For years I have used ebuyer.com as my go-to place for computers, peripherals and components and they have given good service for the last 19 years they have been trading.

So I’ve decided to pick out some computers that you can buy if you are looking for a new computer. Bear in mind the industry changes rapidly, and products change on their store all the time.

Overview

I always recommend a decent processor for computers, at least the Intel Core i3 processor for most applications. If you are doing work with extensive photo or video editing, I’d suggest either an Intel Core i5 or i7 processor.

Additionally, I recommend all new computers to come with solid state drives with a preference to NVMe or PCIe SSD.

Traditional hard drives have a lot of problems, and the SSDs that replace them gain an up to 10x improvement over them, but they are encumbered by the interfaces involved. NVMe/PCIe SSD connects directly to the computer which enables them to be 5x faster than traditional SSDs.

Laptops

Another great choice is the Lenovo IdeaPad S540 with the 10th generation Core i3 processor. Older models have standard hard drives or older SSDs that are not as fast.

Just like the ASUS it comes with 4GB RAM and 256GB NVMe SSD for £600 +p&p from ebuyer.com

The screen folds down flat and has up to 12 hour battery life and will charge to 80% in an hour.

Desktop PC

Micro Form Factor computers have the edge in the market these days, since space is a premium they use the smaller NVMe SSD drives rather than standard hard drives or laptop sized SSD drives.

They do not come with DVD drives, because of the physical size. You can buy adapters that convert their HDMI or DisplayPort connections to VGA and DVI if you have an older monitor.
