If you have an iPhone or Android phone that supports Apple or Google Pay, you will have a wallet. If your loyalty card provider supports it, you can add their loyalty card to phone’s Wallet. You can also use a third party app to create your own loyalty cards for your Wallet.
Apple Wallet
You can add credit and debit cards to your phone using the Wallet app, as well as travel cards and pay later options but you cannot add loyalty cards directly.
You must open the loyalty card app and choose Add to Wallet button to add that card to your wallet.
You can remove cards from your wallet using the Wallet app.
Google Wallet
Google handles its wallet differently, as they have specific sections in the Wallet app for different cards:
- Payment cards
- Transit pass
- Loyalty card
- Gift card
- Everything else
To add a loyalty card, you press the + add to wallet button, choose Loyalty card from the list. You then search for the loyalty program you are adding and scan the barcode or QRcode of the card, then click add.
