Apple is releasing their latest M4 and M4 Pro Mac Mini and for the first time they have reduced the size of the case. Resembling the Mac Studio (taller than the previous Mac Minis) but also just 5″ square (compared to 7.75″) it now looks a lot smaller.
M4 processor
Apple have released their new M4 processor in the Mac Mini which offers 50% more CPU performance and 4x GPU performance compared to the M2, utilising 3nm process and uses much faster memory technology than the M3.
The NPU has been greatly improved to optimise for the Apple Intelligence (AI) that Apple is due to announce.
Mac Mini M4
The new Mac Mini M4 brings the minimum memory to 16GB and moves two USB-C ports to the front along with the audio jack.
At the rear, there are 3 Thunderbolt 4 ports and a HDMI port along with a Gigabit Ethernet port (10Gigabit available for an extra £100) and support for 3 displays.

Mac Mini M4 Pro
The new Mac Mini M4 Pro brings the minimum memory to 24GB and much faster memory bandwidth than the Mac Mini M4.
At the rear, there are 3 Thunderbolt 5 ports (3 times faster than Thunderbolt 4) and a HDMI port along with a Gigabit Ethernet port (10Gigabit available for an extra £100) and support for 3 displays.
