Office 2019
Microsoft produces a version of Office designed to be bought as a stand alone product on a PC or Mac. Make sure you buy the right version for the Mac or PC. You buy the software once for the life of your computer. All versions are activated online with a Microsoft Account, this reduces piracy.
Home & Student for PC
Home & Student gives you three products:

- Excel for spreadsheets
- Powerpoint for presentations
This retails for £119.99 if bought direct from Microsoft or £59.53 from SCDKey (search for Office.) If you don’t need the latest version, you can pick up the previous version for £17.50 from the same link.
Home & Business
Home & Business offers:

- Outlook for email
This retails for £249.99 if bought from Microsoft. The Mac version is available from SCDKey for £86.69 and £43.77 for the 2016 version.

Microsoft offers a subscription model for people who are willing to have the latest version of Office all the time.
