Windows 7 support lifecycle

Windows 7 logo

If your computer uses Windows 7, consider buying a new computer because it dates from around 2009. Windows 7 support ended in January 2020. However, if you are an Enterprise and have a volume licence with Microsoft, you can pay for something called Extended Support Upgrades, which give a yearly extension of Windows 7, including critical and important updates.

Extended Support Updates

Extended Support Updates (ESUs) are open to volume licence holders and you can pay for incremental yearly extensions to the retirement of the operating system and products related to it.
